The eBook will be downloaded as a self-extracting zip file. This means that we have compressed the file to make it faster for you to download it, but you will have to uncompress it before you can read it. You will not need any special software to decompress the file — it's an easy matter of double-clicking the file name and letting the program do the rest.

The file is 2.25 MB in size. With a high-speed connection such as cable or DSL, it will take up to 3 minutes to download the file. With a dial-up connection, it may take up to 10 minutes for the download to complete.

To download and read the eBook, follow these steps:

Mac users, please skip to this section. Users with high-speed Internet connections (cable, DSL, or T1) may also wish to skip to this section.

  1. Place your mouse cursor over the link that says "Download Now" and click the right mouse button. You will be prompted for your user name and password. These were sent to you by e-mail, and remember that they must be entered exactly as they appear in the e-mail, including the use of upper and lower case letters (for example, JohnDoe is not the same as johndoe)
  2. A pop-up menu will appear. You should click either "Save Target As" (IE Explorer) or "Save File As" (Netscape) with your left mouse button.
  3. You may get a warning message because this file ends with the characters ".exe" and sometimes these types of files can be harmful. In this case, you can click the button to continue anyway.
  4. You may also be asked if you want to open the file or save it to your computer. You should select the option of saving it to your computer's hard drive.
  5. You will be given a choice about where on your computer the file will be placed. Pick a location that you will remember.  You may want to write down the file address or some computers have a pre-set file for "My Downloads."
  6. Once the file download is complete, use your favorite method of finding the file on your hard drive. This may be My Computer, it may be Windows Explorer, or you may prefer some other method. Once you have located the file, double click it and the file will extract into the directory of your choice. The file is named "MuddleManagement.pdf"
  7. Use the Adobe Acrobat Reader software to open the file "MuddleManagement.pdf" and make sure that it opens successfully. If everything looks OK, you can delete the file "MuddleManagement.exe" because you will not need it anymore.

Download Now (2.25 MB)  Right click the red link "Download Now" above--do not left click.  Choose "Save Target As" or "Save File As". 

Attention, Mac Users:

The self-extracting file will not work on your system, so you will need to download the uncompressed version of this book, which will take longer. Adobe Acrobat Access 4.05 for Windows

The Adobe Acrobat Access Plug-in 4.05 enables vision impaired users to read Adobe PDF documents in Acrobat 4.0x or Acrobat Reader 4.0x. The Access plug-in supplements the standard Acrobat and Reader display of PDF documents with an alternative view that supports screen-reading applications for Microsoft Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT. This view presents the textual content of a PDF file in a separate window. The window contains the text in an approximated reading order. Standard Acrobat features, such as hypertext links, notes, bookmarks, sounds, and movies, are available in the Access view.
